Salford crash

Scene of the crash
In Greater Manchester, there was an ugly car crash involving seven vehicles in which two people lost their lives.
A red Audi was stolen during a burglary incident which took place at a house in Farnworth and was reported to the police. Few minutes later, the vehicle was spotted by a police patrol in the opposite direction and lost sight of the vehicle when they attempted to purse the car.
A few minutes later, police received reports that the Audi had collided with parked cars in Leigh Road, Boothstown, Salford, and that the vehicle had exploded in flames.

A number of homes on Leigh Road were also damaged during the collision.
