At about 12.30 am today, a gunman opened fire at a suburban Denver movie theater which was showing the latest Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises", killing 14 people and injuring 50 people. It was reported that the gunman is in police custody.
According to witnesses, the gunman released some sort of canister. They heard a
hissing sound and some gas emerged and the gunman opened fire. The police emergency line 911 was bombarded with calls and immediately the police, ambulances and emergency crews rushed to the scene of incident.
The gunman was found near a car behind the theater by the police and some weapons were recovered from the gunman.
